Wandering Around Sunset
After some more pictures and wandering around I took a cab (cool guy) to Susanne’s place and was very relieved to see her again, alive and well :). Pretty soon after, we went out to profit from the sunny weather and pleasurable temperatures. She guided me through several streets, the subway, and more and bigger buildings. She had to do a few errands first, but after that we ate a hamburger (God, I didn’t know a hamburger could be this good :D) and went through Broadway, one of the biggest streets in New York.
And… we did some shopping. I bought two (!) pairs of shoes… One casual pair for summer, which I had needed for like ages… And a pair of sports shoes so that I won’t have to borrow the shoes from Menno or Stijn anymore when I go running or do volleyball with Femke. So the credit card has come in handy already ;).
We also went onto the Empire State Building around sunset (wow, it’s almost like taking a plane… so much security :-S). Incredible view by the way. Susanne told me the view on Manhatten was better from the World Trade Center since then you saw the whole of Manhattan with one view, while from the Empire State Building you see Manhattan from all sides, so you don’t have one side where you see everything. But it was still pretty empressive!

I told you thoughs credit cards are useful. It is like free money. Welcome to America ;)

Schitterend!

Heh, apparently I forgot to delete my cookies on my computer at home ;). The last comment was by my sister…
She said: “Great! Two pairs of shoes was definitely not what I expected you to buy in America. So it’s not Susanne who’s got to take care of you forgetting stuff, but the other way around. Don’t forget. I’m curious as to your clothes when you come back :), your sister
