Joys and Concerns
My current joys:
I bought a new computer last week (more about the specs later), and after about 3 days of assembling and setting up I finally feel satisfied again with the way my hardware and software works and looks. Age of Empires III looks absolutely gorgeous and Cities3D looks awesome as well.
I also finally spoke Susanne again for more than just a few minutes since she got back from her month-during tour in Canada last month. I’m glad she’s back, ’cause I feel like we both missed a big chunk of eachother’s lives…
My current concerns:
Well… :|… It’s not going that great again with the studying. I lost the rhythm again and have a hard time finding the motivation again to study regularly and keep up with my home work. I hate it that I can’t seem to find a good place outside of my room where I can study. Either there are too many people running around, it’s too noisy, or I feel ‘out of place’… I wish I had a room in our faculty where I could work on my own without too many people passing by. I’m gonna start planning again and counting hours, because at the moment I’m getting nowhere again :(…
And then there’s my partner for my Bachelor’s project. He’s a great guy, but I really have to take into account the possibility that he might not continue working on the project at some point. His family is a mess and he’s not very stable… I’m gonna have to talk about that with our supervisor, because I want to know what I should do in case that happens.
Anyway… I had to write this down…

I spoke with my supervisor a couple of days ago, and I asked him whether it would be a problem if I had to continue the work on the project on my own in case my partner quits halfway. He said that for me that should not be a problem as the difficulty level of the project would be about equal to the difficulty level of our project from last year, but just longer.
He also said that they would of course take it into account for my grade in case my partner stops.
So… that’s pretty good news. Now I just have to hope that it won’t come this far…
Also, as you could read in one of my latest posts… It seems I’ll be getting a room at university to work in, so that should also help in getting more work done :).
