Rain Pants My *bleep*

Pffft… Had to ride to uni today on my bike in the soaking rain. In ten minutes my rain pants succeeded in soaking the whole of my jeans under it. Aren’t rain pants supposed to keep the water out of my pants? I could just as well have done without them…

Well… that’s one thing on my wish list for the holiday season: new waterresistant rain pants. Oh, and… add to that a pair of gloves that doesn’t have holes in it…

According to that picture, I must say someone really needs a sweater ;)

But… cool… I never thought about having waterresistant pants :)… hehe.. “city girl/bikes are meant for pleasure and only in the summer!”
Hope you’ll get a pair of good ones soon :).

    Heh… it’s not a picture of myself ;)…

So you never use your bike during winter??? How do you drive around in then? Sitting lazily in your car, filling our atmosphere with carbondioxide? :P Or do you use public transport? :)

A bike is of uttermost importance to the life of a Dutch student… A student without a bike is like a swimming pool without water. It just doesn’t work…

Hahaha, not just dutch students, any dutch person or person living in the Netherlands needs a bike. Though I don’t have these pants you speak of. Good luck at finding better ones!

Well… since I’m in Sweden, I learned that people actually do use bikes in the winter :D (honestly I learned it already in Finland, but there I didn’t have to take it serious ;)). Though, myself I still haven’t adjusted my garderobe to make it possible. I biked to town last time on Monday and I froze to tears… hehe… brrr…
And come on… busses in our town are running on biogas ;), sometimes I need to support them too.

But in Latvia it is just so not safe to bike even in the summer time… we have just a few bike passes there and they appeared not that long time ago. Hopefully there will be more in the future. Also… it just is so: Bikes are for the summer! In the winter you can use skis :D. In fact, maybe it is a weather’s fault. In the winter it is too cold or not cold enough (so there is this soft snow). It is probably not true if I say that no one in Latvia bikes in the winter, but it is definitely not common :).

    Lol…

/me tries to imagine himself skiing himself to university on an asphalt road while the rain keeps falling…

There’s not enough snow here for skiing ;).
