Traumas Are Like Shadows
Traumas are like shadows of your deepest self, following you at all times and impossible to outrun. You can suppress them pretty easily by lighting your life with lights from enjoyable experiences and happy times, and at times these lights will remain bright for so long, that you feel as if the shadows aren’t there anymore.
But sooner or later those lights will fade for one or another reason, whether it’s temporarily or permanently, and then you’ll notice that those shadows hadn’t really disappeared after all.
Sooner or later you’ll have to deal with them, whether you want to or not. And it’s not a shame to look for help with friends or others, when you don’t find the way. We all have shadows, some more substantial than others. When you are lost and you can’t find the path, somebody else might be able to show you the way…
The way to a world without shadows…
It exists…

Reminds of the saying that goes something like… You can’t run from your problems forever, They will catch up to you.
