Lucky Number Slevin

A few days ago I watched Lucky Number Slevin, another film noir gangster movie about a guy “Slevin” who is mistaken for someone else and finds himself wrapped in a web of debts, gangsters and personal vendetta’s. The lead roll “Slevin” is surprisingly well played by Josh Hartnett from Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor. Other actors include Bruce Willis, Lucy Liu who you might remember from Kill Bill, Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley, all playing very convincingly. Lucy Liu once again confirmed my weak spot for Asian girls (**sigh** ;)), and I enjoyed seeing Morgan Freeman play the ‘bad guy’ for once. The plot is one that confuses you a lot in the beginning, forcing you to think and ponder, gradually leaving more and more hints but keeping your attention. At the end all the pieces fit nicely together, wrapping up this cool thriller. My rating: 8/10.
