The World’s Fastest Indian

“If you don’t follow your dreams, you might as well be a vegetable.” - Burt Monro

The World’s Fastest Indian is one of those inspirational films that warms your heart and shows true humanity shining through. You know… that’s what I generally like about true stories and biographies. They have all the more impact because you realize that someone actually did and experienced all of this. The World’s Fastest Indian is the story of an eccentric old man in the sixties from New Zealand who is fanatic about motor cycles and is about to realize his 25-year old dream: breaking the land speed record on the salt plains in Utah with his ‘Indian’ motor cycle.

The movie carries you from a few days before his departure towards the USA via a number of funny and to his moment of glory. Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins as Burt Monro did a fabulous job with this one. He’s cute, funny, dirty old man, but above all he’s a guy who chases his dreams without fear. Watch this movie at home with your family and share the excitement. You’ll like it :). My rating: 8.5/10.
