Lonely Road
This is the first time I actually made a picture for an assignment. Nothing serious though, just an assignment for one of the many websites that offer weekly or monthly assignments with a certain theme. The theme for this one was ‘Lonely Road’. So I went to the park nearby here and took some pictures of myself. Took quite a few tries to get myself in the picture at the right time and the right place, but in the end I came up with this one. I converted it to black and white and added some vignetting to make the lonely feeling stronger. Whaddayathink?
This is also the first time I went out with my brand new camera! I bought a new Canon EOS 350D (Rebel XT for the Americans) a few weeks ago along with a new lens (Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8). I like it :D. It’s good to finally go the digital road… I’ll feel more at ease experimenting with whatever I want. I’ll have to get used to the not so fast and not so quiet focusing of the Tamron lens though. This lens is supposed to be quite a bit sharper than the one I’ve been using so far, but it lacks the USM (Ultra Sonic Motor) of my previous lens.

Cool :D. I was actually nominated for this picture. It’s no big deal really, but it’s fun to be nominated with 11 others out of a pool of 48 I think. Now I wonder whether I’ll win ;).

Nice! But I didn’t know you had a flat bum though.. I think the picture will look even better with a model with a rounded end. :P

Thank you very much, noodle. Now I feel much more confident of ever getting a girl friend :D.
