First Painting with Light Experiment

I just did my first tiny experiment with ‘light painting’. This is a technique where you ‘paint’ your subject by taking a long exposure while you illuminate your subject with a moving light source, for example a torch. I’m planning on doing some more experimentation tomorrow with a spoon… I wonder how that’ll turn out. The picture below was taken with a funky lamp that changes color illuminating my binoculars. During the first part of the exposure I lit it from the right while the lamp was blue, then during the second part of the exposure I lit it from the left while the lamp was red. Pretty simple and not really very creative, but maybe something better will come up tomorrow ;).
